The 65th International Flower Festival, organized through the cooperation of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the khokimiyat of Namangan region, is being celebrated over the course of 50 days with an extensive cultural and tourism program. More than 150 events have been scheduled, including concert performances, folklore shows, handicraft exhibitions, tourism presentations, scientific conferences, seminars, and cultural showcases that highlight both the region’s heritage and its contemporary creative spirit.

In preparation for the festival, large-scale beautification projects transformed the city into an extraordinary floral destination. Streets, parks, alleys, and public spaces across Namangan were decorated with more than 150 million flower seedlings, creating breathtaking landscapes and reinforcing the city’s floral identity.

One of the festival’s defining achievements took place in and around the Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur Culture and Recreation Park, where nearly 30 million flower seedlings were planted by a single team within one month. This accomplishment secured Namangan region a Guinness World Record in the category of “Largest number of flowers planted by one team within one month,” reflecting the scale, organization, and collective dedication behind the festival preparations.

Beyond its visual splendor, the festival serves as an important platform for promoting the tourism potential of Namangan region and strengthening international cultural ties. The event is expected to attract approximately one million foreign visitors and around seven million domestic tourists, making it one of the largest tourism and cultural events in Uzbekistan.

Visitors to the festival are invited to experience the rich traditions of the region through national cuisine, music, crafts, and hospitality, while also discovering Namangan’s growing modern tourism infrastructure. The International Flower Festival not only celebrates the beauty of nature, but also presents Namangan as an emerging destination where culture, creativity, and community flourish together.

The festival continues until July 12.
